From the Start

Brothers Mark and Jay Spicer began careers in pest management at Western Exterminator Company in 1983—one of California’s largest family-owned pest control companies at the time, currently a Rentokil-Terminix holding. We learned much about trade development and quality service there. Presently, and perhaps, most importantly, we celebrate the personal satisfaction that comes from being of service to others. We are particularly proud of our sustained and growing customer associations. Incredibly, some business relationships have bridged over 30 years.

Janus Pest Management was formed in 2005 and has built a reputation for professional service, responsiveness and results. We proudly service a diverse residential and commercial clientele that includes homeowners, commercial real estate, warehousing, medical care facilities, and more. We have developed a niche specialty for managing pests for commercial property managers—particularly municipal holdings, industrial parks, and Class-A high-rise towers.

You’ll meet many people in this industry and see many places—much of it behind the scenes. One could easily visit a high-rise tower, museum, movie studio, hospital, and some of the most interesting people, all in the span of a single week.  So, in addition to solving problems on the daily, we do the necessary work that contributes to people’s quality of life by protecting health and property—making a career in our industry both worthwhile and rich with experiences.
